BCL Archive & Shredding Services can confirm that following the latest announcement from the Prime Minister it is business as usual subject to following the latest government guidance with regard to protecting our staff and customers.
Over the years, our parent company, John Bradshaw & Son has supported various charities and our people have taken part in various charitable events and activities. In 2013, we decided to put our money where our mouth is and put our full corporate support behind one charity
We chose Prevent Breast Cancer (formerly known as Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention) registered charity number 1109839) as the charity we wanted to give our full corporate support to on a long-term basis. Prevent is the only UK charity completely devoted to the prevention and prediction of breast cancer.
Our trucks have appeared in several festivals, including the Lymm Festival and Altrincham Festival, appeared at the Genesis bucket collection at Manchester's Old Trafford football ground, along with other events and charity drives. One of BCL's trucks even wore a tutu while a removal man pulled it under his own strength!
Our staff have participated in bucket collections, sing-alongs, tea parties, and other activities to help raise money for Prevent Breast Cancer including a run in the Manchester Great Bupa Run on behalf of Prevent, raising nearly £800.
Our late Chairman, Malcolm Halley, embarked on a bicycle journey from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for Prevent, and has kept a blog about his journey. He was accompanied by Britannia Bradshaw International Removals & Storage Removals & Storage Manager, Ernie Humphries. You can read about their journey
